Blast Radio

What is Blast?

Blast Radio is a popular streaming platform for online radio hosts (creators). It gives us the opportunity to share our love of music with listeners. It’s similar to Amp and Stationhead but doesn’t currently have a built in “chat” feature where you can interact with the host and other listeners. You can search for shows and listen to them live or up to 24 hours on demand. You can save them as favorites to have faster access in the future and even turn on notifications to be notified when your favorite shows are going live.

Many hosts use various chat type apps such as Discord to interact throughout the show. The Road House has a chat thread available in an app called “Group Me”. This allows you to use a link to take you directly to the chat, where you’ll see all of the conversations and who is listening. You don’t need Group Me to enjoy the music. By downloading the Blast app from either Apple App store or Google Play, you can listen to the show with no need for any music streaming provider such as Apple Music, Spotify or Amazon Music Unlimited.

Here are the steps to listen to Hammers Road House:

1. Download Blast Radio. Create a free account (username).
2. If you want to chat, Download Group Me. Create a free account (username)
3. Open Blast, sign in and create your profile. Search for hammersroadhouse. You’ll see whether it’s live or recorded and how much time is left before it disappears. Click on the play icon and enjoy the show. As you listen to other shows, you’ll see them when you sign in.
4. To chat, open Group Me and search for hammersroadhouse. Click on the show and you’ll join the chat. You can leave the chat open over the top of Blast. Blast should continue to play unless you close it or sign out. Again, you don’t need the chat to listen.

Reminder: Shows on Blast Radio are only available for 24 hours from the time the live show ended.
